Nintendo is best known for two things. Mario Kart. And pursuing legal action. So how did McDonald’s get away with hacking the launch of Switch 2 without catching a red shell?

By keeping it completely anonymous. Then the internet did its thing. Blew it up overnight. People loved it. Even more hated it. But in the end, all anyone could talk about was fries. GGWP.

New upload by user7R135One quiet afternoon, we just launched GamiFries into the world, specifically on Maker World, an open-source 3D library.

No promotion, no boosting, na-da media budget. We just let internet discovered it for themselves.

WildfiiiiireTrue enough, the internet caught on it and everybody raved about it. Gaming sites, media publications, curators, gamers, content creators started printing their own.

Suddenly, McDonald’s was everywhere, literally next to the Switch. I mean it was FREE for anyone to download after all.

What’s the Lore?
This was a project born out of our love for gaming and fries. So much so that all the assets that we created were done in-house.

From the R&D of the GamiFries rig, to the product photography (you see my CW partner here being my camera assistant and hand talent), to the product vide demonstration, we all had to wear multiple hats to bring this to life. And it was worth every second of sweat!
